I descended from a Germanic tribe of guttural cave dwellers.

Did you know that the human eye can see more shades of green than any other color? It's an evolutionary adaptation--when we were in the wild, we had to be able to see predators hiding in trees and such.

Lux means light in Latin. It's the name of a character I used to write about a lot, who was pretty much the kind of person I wanted to be at the time. Kind of an alter-ego of mine.
