The one small ray of sunshine seems to be that your roommate didn't try and pull a fast one on you. Chica is just being incredibly irresponsible, and likely knows it. She's probably trying to be friendly to make up for the fact that she's absolutely aware she's getting away with murder.

Can she do anything useful for you (besides get out of your house)? Rack your brain. Work contacts?

I think I will wait to see how tomorrow goes and maybe if it turns out she spends most of the day out of the house, it will be okay. The weird thing is my roommate will be back in three days ... so he will have to sleep on the floor in his own room to accommodate her. And it will just generally be weird to have two more people living here (it's not a big place). So maybe I will just have him throw her out when he gets back, considering he is the one who told her she could stay here without clearing it with me ...

Thats exactly what i did. I said i told him to leave tonight; I actually told my ex roommates to make him leave tonight or they all will have to go.

I was at my bottom but my house was turned into a crack house for months.

Because I know what will happen if I do -- I will feel guilty about it for at least three days and beat myself up over having been so mean; I will torment myself over it.

Thats my issue too, stop that! I was a total doormat for people for years because of self guilt.

Remember, its your house, nothing to feel guilty over! And remind yourself of that as many times as you have to.

I was on the phone with my step mom almost in tears (would have been if i cry) over kicking my ex roommates out. And even after that i bent over backwards for them.

Its your house, not hers, and you have every right to put your foot down and set boundries!

I dunno, it is fishy. She basically comes complete with her own apartment furnishings. Ask her if she is moving somewhere, where is she is going after two weeks are up? If she doesn't give you a satisfactory answer, then something is up. You did not agree to this, and just because he is your room mate does not give him the right to let someone stay there while he is gone. I would be sorely tempted to give her a couple of days to find other accommodations, then show her the door.
