Oh shoot @The Albatross!!! I haven't written anything in awhile for you to challenge me on... thought I had slipped thru your radar.. damn it. :nailbiting::p
I function, always have, except when I was dealing with the traumas.... then everything was one dimensional and gray.... I make myself participate in life... sometimes I feel better, sometimes I don't. I talk with my friends in real life, I go places when money allows. I make jewelry to sell.. I interact with professionalism when I am selling my stuff. Because I am not dead. I know you won't agree with this, but I do have a lot of acceptance in regard to the depression... I do what I have to do... and many things I don't want to do...but my perception is fine... and when in doubt, I have people I talk to.I am 65 yrs old and have been on this journey of healing since I was 34. I have always read about anything that was a problem..in some case I didn't know how to apply it,,, but had my T's for that... they taught me what to do... but I was not unaware. I have been depressed my entire life.. not one thing I could do was going to change that. it is my normal...sometimes it is worse, but very rarely better... it is what it is... I worked my self into a self help frenzy.... so ya, and I'm in good company when I am with me.... thanks Albay.... I can always count on you to not let me get complacent....sending you hugs for giving a damn....:playful:

94% - eek:eek: Knew I was down, but holy moly!

Wait on, 94% of what?:O_o: 94% chance I'm depressed? I'd probably say what happened to the other 6% if that's the case:meh:

Every now and then it's helpful to remind myself that being this down isn't normal. Thank you Goldberg for confirming that!

Mostly, though - I already know roughly where my mood is at.

My guess is you didn't really need 18 odd questions (do I do things slowly?) to tell you that things are pretty rough right now. All that 100% means is you're right, and it's a good time to be taking extra care of yourself, and reaching out when you can:tup:

78%. Only because I won't allow suicidal thoughts. Period. End of story.
Still fighting and always will be. No one else gets to pull my strings but me.
%%% don't mean $$hit.
I'll find a way out of the box no matter what. Or die tryin.
But I ain't gonna just pull the plug cuz of someone else. Nope. Or their survey.
I'm sure if I practiced I could hit close to 100%...Damn I hate bein this close without even really tryin.
I'll try a little PMA (positive mental attitude) and see if I can get that %% to go down.
Stickler - please man stay on the line - you're probably sick of hearing it - but it can get better.
I'd like to help in any way I could. Best wishes - dig deep - beat this.
Got any good joke books you can read?
I get depressed I go watch old Adam's Family reruns where they all go down in the dungeon and watch train wrecks - that always used to cheer me up.

If it helps at all, when I'm monitoring my depression, I have my own Function Meter that I use. It's a tick n flick that I came up with for indicators for my depression levels - things that I know indicate how I'm travelling based on my own depression symptoms that I've become familiar with over time.

I find it helpful to give me a realistic gauge about how my mood is based on my personal experience of depression, rather than generic measures that aren't always relevant for me.

And I do find that extremely helpful when I need to monitor my mood. Using generic measures, for me, I always end up with the same "you're really depressed" outcome - which I already know. But how am I doing, based on my personal depression experience? Much more helpful info from that...just for what it's worth.
