This is interesting but questionable for me. I have taken topiramate off and on over the past decade as an off-label med for chronic migraines. Took it both as topiramate and the extended release reformulation trokendi xr Can't say I saw any fluctuation in my hyperarousal symptoms but if it can help others it was great for me with weight loss. Made everything taste different so basically changed my entire diet because carbs and sweets all had horrible aftertaste and I quit eating them.

super interesting. I actually came off topirimate several months ago.

I had been taking it for a few years before PTSD as a neurological treatment. I think coming OFF it helped me. However I will say I had noticed before ptsd slow release formulas made the drug bearable for me ( I had quite frustrating side effects). But after ptsd when SR formulation wasn’t available the normal sort didn’t seem so much worse.

I do not miss this drug. ?.
