Well surprise surprise I don't see Anthony's comment on that post. Maybe they're afraid of losing everyone with PTSD to this site? Lol. (I was there before I was here.)

How can anything good come of telling myself I have this disorder? A lot. Before I was diagnosed and even after before I understood it. (Thanks mostly to you Anthony) I used to beat myself up something fierce over my symptoms, not understanding they were symptoms.

Before telling myself I ....... because I know longer have to beat myself up for failing as an individual.

You took the words right out of my mouth. This is exactly what I was thinking while reading the head trip.

She is just so wrong; the statement she makes about 'you have a choice, fight, take flight, or freeze' (or use her magic spell...) She really doesn't understand the brain. The old reflexes aren't under conscious control -- thus the need to work on feeling safe, relaxation, breathing etc..., she is perpetuating misinformation.

Some people seem to have very loose approaches to conceptual thinking and language, and sorta float around no matter how much one talks to them; I wonder if she can really understand the difference between her statements and those of folks with actual ptsd....

I dont think the comment, if published, will do much. The site responds better through the talkback email <no email allowed> if you're interested in getting the blog article taken down and why...or I mean advise them why.

Just thought Id throw that to you if intrested...or to anyone intrested. Im sure the more email they get, the more they will look at it.

Honestly I've seen sketchy articles on that site from time to time.

They're very much a generalist sort of site. The forums are such a mixed bag (why I deleted my account----tons of people who don't really care about healing, even more who codependenly support one another's bad/dysfunctional habits.)

I would doubt that the article would be removed and in light of how incredibly bad it is and my guess is that there was some sort of financial incentive for someone.
