In life's long journey we stumble and fall, we hurt and we cry,
For never before were there such a bad Lie.
A lie so told to keep us quiet, to keep us silent.
This silence of a broken childhood is one of the most damaging things that can happen to that child, A childhood bound by secrecy and Silence can rip the soul apart from within that child. The everlasting damage caused by abuse will be ever present within that child as long as they live, A Trauma Survived.. Like it is said and written, What makes us anxious is not the fear of what may happen but the realization that it already has happened and somehow we are still here to tell the tale many years later in some cases.
This forum is made up of a wide range of people from all different walks of life yet we have a common bond with each other. We all survived what we were traumatized by and we are all here, together, some struggling, some fighting fit within recovery. We draw on each others strengths and bolster each other when we are feeling weak.
Take heart dear friends.
There is always a light at the end of every tunnel, The shadows of the past cast doubt upon the future making it all shaded and dull, once we face those shadows and dispel them back to the depths they belong we start to clear out visions and truly appreciate the captivating beauty that the world has to offer.
Life is tough and will be tough for many for years to come.
Stand strong fellow sufferers and shoulder to shoulder we will build a wall of Jerhico to stand the test of time.
