Thank you @Lucycat, I greatly appreciate all replies regardless of when they are sent. Thank you for taking the time to do so. I am glad that they jailed your father and put him on the sex offender's register.
When I was about 7 I witnessed my mother sexually abusing my little cousin who was less than a year old at the time. I have no idea how long/how many times this happened. I saw her do it twice. As my cousin couldn't talk, I know he won't remember those times. I don't have any contact with any of my family including him. I have no idea if she abused any other children. An aspect of all of this which greatly concerns me is that she does freelance holistic therapies. This includes baby massage, I remember her talking about it in 1999 when she was learning to do it. I told the police/asked them for some advice in March about all of this. They said there's nothing they can do if I don't know for certain that she's abusing anyone else. Rape Crisis Centre said the same thing.
It has been 4 weeks since the solicitor sent her the letter telling her to stay away from me and she hasn't attemped to make any contact. This is a record, the longest she would leave it was three weeks then she would try phoning /texting and /or writing. I use a new phone for all other contacts. I was advised to get rid of the old phone completely, but what if she sent abusive texts /voice messages? That could be used as evidence. Or am I being stupid keeping it? I never answer it and haven't made any direct contact with her myself for 6 years and 3 months and I never will.
