Academic Achievement!

I am feeling very proud of myself. I have just finished my honours year at university and have achieved first class honours!

Last year, I was mentally unable to do honours year, and had to take a leave of absence, and this year has been very difficult (albeit not as difficult as last year, hooray!), so I was not confident in my abilities to manage to finish the year, let alone finish it well. When the results came in, I cried and cried.

Anyway, this means that I will be entering the PhD programme next year, and hopefully in about four years, I will be Dr Jagged...

In addition to this, the uni have offered me a more permanent job as an academic (have been a very casual academic for the last two years). Jumping with joy, and Merry Yule to me!!

That's great and prooves that good and rewarding things can be accomplished despite what we endure as a result of PTSD. I wish you the best on this accomplishment (future) Dr. Jagged.

That is fantastic news... a first class honours? Wow! And an academic career ahead of you. That has to be the best Christmas present ever.

Congratulations!!

(where is the emotions buttons???? I love sending those but I cant find them anymore)

Great JA--so proud of you! Glad that you showed yourself (and others) that you can do it. Looking forward to encouraging you through the next degree.

(hugs) Beth

That's impressive.

Completing an honours degree is challenging enough in itself; to do it with PTSD, and to achieve first-class honours, is truly a mammoth accomplishment.

...and you did it distance education as well.

Nice work.
