I am very grateful to
@joeylittle for stepping up and accepting the offer of becoming the forum administrator. She will do an amazing job :) She brings with her passion, a very level head, a steady and sensible approach, along with her own style to take the forum into the future upon the very stable, tried and tested foundation already created. A fresh set of eyes can only do wonders for the community and
@joeylittle will still have Anthony in the background to bounce things off as well as the wealth of resources from the history within the forum, arming her with the knowledge of what has and hasn't worked. I have total faith in her ability to do well and be an administrator all the community will hold with the highest regard for her good judgement, understanding, empathy and ability to manage the tasks required of her.
As for my husband
@anthony, I am so proud of you. :inlove: You have given your heart and soul to this forum; toiling for hours not only with administering the forum but also with marketing (keeping the forum online) and the IT issues of the site. There are times I wish you'd taken a break as it has placed a lot of pressure on you but your commitment to the community shone through and you soldiered on. I believe you have made a brilliant decision in both your selection of
@joeylittle and also the one to do what is now best for you. I have never spent as long on the forum as you and I've found after 8 years I needed a break from active posting as my minimal input (in comparison to yours) took a toll.
Personally I would like to see
@anthony do what he enjoys. And for us as a couple, I wish for PTSD to be a fact of our lives and not the reality as some days it is nice to just 'be normal' as much the illness permits, which we have more often than not now :) I've come to believe that prolonged active posting on the forum only enforces and highlights the very thing I would like to diminish in our lives. I accept PTSD and all it brings with it but I remember Anthony telling all members that they should strive to eventually be able to heal enough that they no longer need to actively be on this forum for ongoing support. I know Anthony hasn't been on here for support for a long time now but, from my point of view, he has never had the choice to step away without it meaning shutting down the site and I'm so excited that he now has. I also know Anthony is not stepping back based on anything I think as I've not shared that until after he made his own decision as it was not my place to do such a thing. This is just my opinion from sitting on the other side of the fence.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the members who are embracing this change and supporting
@joeylittle and respecting
@anthony's decision.
