Adrenals - insomnia - advice?

Thank you all for all of your help. The episodes of adrenaline surge anxiety went away but then cam...

It was explained to me that it was part of the hyperarousal/hypervigilance part of the ptsd - the adrenaline rush is the amygdala (which I guess is the stupid part of brain) still thinks it's in fight/flight communicates it to adrenal glands, stress hormones and another part (the hypothalamus?? might be wrong) which then mixes up the signals in the part of the brain that handles emotions. A good diet can help, staying away from all drinks that are stimulating, the throwing up could be part of the resulting "panic attack" - could be. I'd still be checking out with a doctor and getting a second opinion on medication options. I get more migraines during anxiety and during the month and a half of constant hyperarousal I had a ton of headaches. Almost everyday actually. I really am pulling that you find some relief! It's a horrible horrible thing to go through.

When I was in a state of chronic stress and couldn't sleep, practically mania, a lot of intestinal pain, I also have extreme fear of psych drugs due to drugging abuse and brainwashing and such, but my now partner introduced me to a plant medicine called "Mulungu" it helped calm my nervous system emormously! It's a ground seed, best taken a half hour before bed in a milky drink, it's a little sandy so you have to stir the last bit to get it down but it is truly a magnificent herbal sleep aid and nervous system balancer.

I don't have any at present and wish I did. If you can track it down, I sincerely hope you find it as wonderfully calming and grounding as I did. I went from absolute bipolar like extended mania adrenal overdoing constantly, to balanced and being able to sleep again, despite an extremely stressful life situation.

I'm not a doc; I'm more like a dangerous know it all. But, somethings to ask your doc about might be: valproic acid and lamotrigine.

On my favorite guinea pig (me), valproic acid worked but the dose was so high that I was hallucinating. They don't make smaller doses, so I plan to try again, but this time divide the pill up into a ridiculously small dose perhaps using a grinder, glass, and a razor blade if I need to. However, lamotrigine is working like magic for me on 25mg/day which is also a micro dose although it gives me chest pains which are annoying enough to try something else (considering that enlarged hearts run in my family).

Forgot to mention that both of these are used for migraines and daily chronic headaches as well.
