OK, I am back off holiday and the health regime begins tomorrow.

The ironic thing about the bike is that hubby said I couldn't take it to France with us as he didn't want me to fall off and bash my face in. So, guess who's leg gave in and she fell face down and ended up with a smashed in face - all damage (cuts and bruises) caused by my glasses (which are also wrecked)

I will be phoning a gym and looking to join.

I FINALLY started my 10k running program. Today was day 2 and I learned that I like running MUCH better in the pre-dawn hours because I sweat less, it's much cooler, and I don't get any sun! My anxiety is much improved. Now THAT'S enough motivation to get my butt out of bed in the morning!

I have been slacking off lately, but I'm going to get back to it tomorrow. My running shoes died. I have some that aren't as good, but they will work for now. My mom is giving me new shoes when I go see her in a couple weeks.

Her and I are also going to go on a hike when I go see her, so that is motivation to keep working between now and then.

I haven't done a proper full shop since I got home so there is no healthy food in but I'm going to get lots of good stuff tomorrow and no biscuits.

The walking will start again next week when the workmen replacing the gas pipes in the street and gardens move all their stuff away. (I feel vulnerable walking past them)!

I'm up to week 2 day 2 as of this morning's run. I'm amazed how much I like running and I love how the app eases you into it. So much different than when I was in middle school and they just said "run!" with no real training.

I know physical education is important, but it seems in my schools, the "education" part was sorely lacking. It's a shame, as I doubt much has changed in 20 years as so many more youngsters are overweight/obese.

I wake up so anxious and want to sleep in and skip my exercise. Then I remember how running makes me feel so much better so I drag myself out of bed and every time I'm so glad I did. I did have to take a few days off because I went too hard, too fast. Lesson learned!

I try to go out and jog at these three time a week. Though last week I got lazy due to my running partner needed some time off. Here is a picture of my exercise partner, won't jog without him.

The more the merrier!

How is everyone doing?

I slack off for a few days then I'll end up running 3 days in a row, sometimes twice a day! I'm up to week 3 day 3 in the app so far!

I am proud of myself today. I did 25 minutes on the treadmill. That is good for me, jogging on a treadmill is incredibly boring for me, so 25 minutes is pretty good. If I ever wake up early enough, I can go outside before it gets too hot. I also did some strength training afterward. All in all, job well done I think!

Good job Solara on the running! :)
