Room, pillow and linen spray.
Here is an easy and simple, yet effective way to use Essential oil's. All of the above are made exactly the same way and you can make 2 or 3 up and use them for each of the above. Or just make one and use it for all 3, it is really up to you with this one.
You will need.
Essential oil of your choice.
New spray bottles,(keep the same one for the same oil, as the plastic of the bottle will take on the smell of the oil you use. The one's you can adjust to a fine mist are best.
Distilled water, the type you put into car batteries is great for room spray's, as it is cheap and you can buy it at most garages and car accessory shops.
You could use tap water, but you will find it will go off after a few days and also ruin your spray bottle.
Fill the bottle with distilled water and for every 100 mls of water, add in 15 to 20 drops of you chosen essential oil.
Shake and use. remember to shake it before each use to distribute the oil. It should last for ages, as long as you keep it in a cool dark place. Bottom of your fridge would just fine, or a bathroom cabinet, preferably away from young children.
So for pillow sprays to help you sleep you could use Lavender, Sandalwood, Geranium, Palma Rosa, Neroli or Ylang Ylang.
For room sprays, you could go wild and use any one of the different oils available. I use sage a lot for my own room sprays. Opening windows and doors, giving every where a good clean and then spray it all around. It gives a wonderful fresh feel to my home.
Linen sprays are wonderful to use in the winter or for anyone who cannot hang bedding out to blow. Again use any you prefer. Ylang Ylang or Neroli are good for linen, or any of the oriental type oils. be careful with some though as they can be too heady if used to much. But you can always use less oil in the water, so have a greater dilution. You will still be able to smell it, it will just be more subtle.
Always remember that this is water, so be careful around polished wood and anything electrical.
Give it a go, create and enjoy.
