At The Hospital

Glad to hear you are a bit better Nicolette. I hope the pain in your knee subsides and they can figure out what is going on in there. I think the pj's are great too. I recall one episode about 12 yrs ago where I woke up in bed wearing nothing but my undies and the bed was surrounded by paramedics and firemen. So don't be embarrassed by your pj's.

Rest and let Anthony take care of you and if he gets out of line smack him with a crutch!

Hi Nicolette, I'm pleased you were able to be discharged into the tender care of Anthony.

It is shocking when these things happen, at least you wear PJs and funky ones at that. Take it very easy, lots of rest and TLC.

KP,

I'm a Type 1 diabetic and was taking part in a clinical trial for a new diabetes medicine at the time. It caused me to go low and become unconscious, so my wife called 911. Very weird to begin to come out of it, like you are in a fog, and then finally focus on a firemans helmet and start to realize what must have happened. That day was my one and only ambulance ride too......my wife insisted on that. She also put her foot down and made me stop being a lab rat for new diabetes medicines. ;)

I guess I also scared her because I took a swing at the paramedic who was tending to me. He told her to stay back, but she stepped up and started talking to me and I guess I stopped being combative.

As a Paramedic, I can relate to all that. I always think it must be a great shock for a diabetic or epileptic patient, to come round and find their bedroom full of strangers. So I try to be gentle! Hmmm, I have also had to be 'super-strength' with combative patients. But we do understand that it's nothing personal!! I'm sorry you've been "treated" to having a bunch of uniforms in your bedroom - that would totally freak me out!!!

Hope you get better Nicolette!! Pamper yourself, get some rest and let your hubby take care of you!! (Hmm maybe he will give you breakfast in bed?) (((Big Hugs))) Linking Arms!!

Hugs for Nicolette! Sorry to hear about your trip to the hospital. Hope you are well on the mend and will be back to bouncy again soon. Breakfast in bed sounds like a great idea!

p.s. Love the monkey pajamas! Gotta get me some funky bed duds. Just cuz. :-)

I have only had one emergency trip. rescued by firefighters and can't remember a thing - What a waste

(((((((((Kath))))))))))!!!! :o :D A waste?! :o
(Remembering mine was part of the trauma...) I love you, Sweetie!!!

Are you up on your crutches, yet?

I remember my armpits getting incredibly sore after several days with those things... There are some really nifty forearm crutches that help as you get stronger, that takes the chafe off your armpits if that gets to be too much, this week. A medical supply place should have them... I wish I could send you mine (cute blue ones), but I gave them away.
