Auntie and Uncle VERY Sick!!

Thank you all for the good wishes. Yes Evie has been very stressed, and we have been concerned about her, especially with regards to the fiasco with the goat yesterday. However its been virtually impossible to get out of bed, I have tried again this morning and simply do not have the strength to stand up. I am online briefly with the help of the laptop in bed; that is all I can manage at this point. The virus has been quite devastating, not only for our family but in the community, where it has now claimed the lives of two elderly people. It has truly been a blessing that Evie has not contracted it yet, and we do hope not ever. We with our normal immune systems will all recover, and it is merely an inconvenience. However should she contract it, it could be quite complicated for her. Thankfully Jim has been up and about a bit, and he has insisted Evie rest, which she sorely needs to do.

Kathy, you and Jim both are in my thoughts at this time. I am also praying that Evie somehow misses this virus. I am hoping that by you stating that Jim is up and about he is beginning recovery and not pushing himself too hard too fast. It must be one heck of a virus, sad to here about the two elders, hopefully it will lose its grip on your community soon. You are all in my thoughts. Godspeed to a total recovery.

It's good to hear that at least you feel able to get online, Kathy, and that Jim's able to get up now and then. I'm also so relieved Evie hasn't gotten this. I am sorry about how bad this flu has been for so many in your area. Take care! I'm sending prayers for healing.

I'm sorry to hear that the virus has taken two lives... that's really quite scary.

I was a little concerned for Evie for the reasons you mentioned Kathy, so I'm glad she's been ordered a rest.

Glad that you guys are doing a little better. Take things slow and easy. Rest and drink tons of fluids.

Evie is doing a great job. I'm sure you must be so happy that she is there to help and to look after things....

Thank you all. We are starting to feel more ourselves, though still resting. The horrible aches and fever have diminished, now it is mostly the extreme fatigue which we are fighting. It is most frustrating to be ill when so many things need to be done here on the acreage, but we are trying to take it easy.
