Back In Hospital Again.

I am currently in the ER ..... Again. It appears I have reacted badly to my new medication to thin my blood because of my recent stroke episode.

This had basically raised my heart rate and blood pressure and I am tachycardiac. This along with many other of the uncommon and rare adverse side effects are what have brought me in this afternoon.

On reading up about Clopodogrel I was not aware and it was not brought to my attention that I have to be extremely careful if I ever take it as it can reacts if the patient is on any form of anti depressant, on any medicine for epilepsy, on Omeprazole, has recently had any form of stomach bleed!

All of which I take and I have recently had a bleeding stomach ulcer that required surgery to repair.

Just my luck eh !!

Hi Mr Laurie, it's good that you've gotten to the hospital! And sorry that you have to be there...take care and advocate for yourself.

I am a little miffed that the doctors AND the pharmacist didn't catch the probability that new med would cause more harm than good... :hug:

Sorry to hear of yet another set back for you @Mr Laurie. What are the odds, but they should have told you about the side effects, in reality you should have never been given this drug to begin with. No one can ever accuse you of being a 'quitter', you just face it down and go on.... Lots of prayers for this to be taken seriously and meds given that will help and not add further problems.
