Bankruptcy Court

I've been on disability for 6 months and have had to declare bankruptcy. It was aweful sitting in court and I was the last one there. The people before me took 30 minutes. I was called up, and I was so upset about the whole thing that after I was sworn in, I told the judge - I think I'm going to throw up. I was done in 2 minutes and on my way, lol. And I didn't throw up! It was a pretty horrid day, however, and I'm glad its over.

Just make sure you tell the judge you have to throw up,it will get you out faster!

I might have to do it. I have to go to the debt councillor as soon as possible. It's freakin me out. A lot... That is definetly a good idea!

I am sorry you had to go through that. I am glad for your sake it is all over now. Take really good care of yourself now.

Years ago I had to go to a debt counselor and they helped to turn things around for me.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. :cry:

My H and I struggle so much financially and we are so frightened that this will happen to us. I hope you can start to rebuild your life now.

I just had a hearing a few weeks back. . .and I was the last one, too. Our bankruptcy is just getting finalized at this point, today actually, it will be a relief when this part is over.
