Hank hit the floor and showed his belly as though he were prepared to be hit and he was showing his submissiveness. I was so stunned in that moment and realized perhaps he thought he had hurt me when his teeth nipped my finger. I was heartbroken for my boy. I got on the floor with him and just gently stroked his chest for a few seconds and then I stayed beside him and stroked his head until I could see him relax. He turned onto his side in a more relaxed posture and we stayed there for a bit with his paw resting on my shoulder.
Simple things. Simple, simple and beautiful things when experienced with a dog. I will never be abel to repay what he's brought me.
I am hoping for more updates soon!
This brought tears to my eyes. I have fallen in love with Hank and I really appreciate your sharing about your lives together. I know that he was sent to you and so very happy for the both of you. I am so glad to hear that you are recovering from your surgery and that things are going so well for you both.
Thank you so much for sharing what you both have been up to. I agree that dogs have triggers too. Hank is very blessed to have you in his life and I just know that this is a relationship made in heaven.
