Ok... perhaps it was more Wishful Thinking!!!
Don't get me wrong... I completely agree with you that electronic versions should be cheaper. They cost less, they get done once and then merely file distributed or linked to where they reside for download. There is no printing, publishing, packaging or other such issues... yet they are more expensive than the physical product. It is completely irrational in all contexts as I see it... but history has proven as per my prior statement to date with electronic products, hence my not being shocked about it.

I thought going digital would be cheaper. I thought I would be able to download all my songs, movies and books cheaper... but then as you discovered, they charge more for them. Probably because it removes repurchase for starters, especially with cloud storage and account history of purchases, thus once you buy it you never buy it again... so it can't get lost and they count on another sale, et cetera. It can't get damaged either, destroyed or stolen, thus there are no replacements being purchased. When I sat down and thought about all these things that happen with physical products, I then concluded why they charge more for digital versions than physical... because they're making up for these lost sales, now.

Ah - a logical mind!!! That does make a lot of sense. When we cleared our house just recently I found three copies of the same CD case with no CDs in any of them  I am the worst one ever for loosing them under the car seat or something and then they come out scratched to pieces

I just need to feed my book addiction... :p

Now that's odd. Because that one (April, "To The Edge") is available on Kindle in Germany... [DLMURL]http://www.amazon.de/To-Edge-The-Bo...?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1361466826&sr=1-6[/DLMURL]

Now that is odd. I followed the link to try and buy and because I'm in the UK, it kicked me to the UK site where the book isn't on Kindle. Damn and blast it.

[DLMURL]http://www.hidemyass.com[/DLMURL] is one example. Google, anonymous proxy, and find one that is fast enough to do what you want. An online proxy will be slow, because lots of people are trying to use something for free. Paid ones aren't that much faster... and still slow overall due to the load often being put through them.

It basically cloaks your IP to show that you're in x country that you want to be, in order to use x website that only allows viewers from that country.

Buying physical products would still require a drop shipping type postal account in the country, but digital products... perfect solution. Login to Amazon.com, buy and deliver it to your device, as it will believe you're in the US buying the product.

The vote is open for the books for May, June and July. Please don't forget to cast your votes.
