All of this. I had no idea so much of this stuff is so common with PTSD.
It's pretty common, at least from what I've read on this forum. But you have to be a little careful. All of the above could be explained by PTSD or by being a run of the mill ahole. It's difficult to say which one it is knowing next to nothing about other people's sufferers. So I'm always a little hesitant to "excuse" away things others describe their SOs doing. There's a difference, and only we can know which one it is most of the time.

I would agree however, because it seems to be common, it’s likely that what it is. Had I not known of the symptoms, I would chalk it up as another a-hole. As I mentioned, he wasn’t behaving like this initially, so I had no real concerns. He would isolate for a few days here and there, but never just run off and shut/out.

I think it’s a mixture of everything and some confusion about what’s going on in his head. One day something is ok and the next day I get nailed to the cross for it. Haven’t spoke in almost a month.

Oh wow! I thought I was the only one. It’s been about two months for me. He said it was due to me violating his trust and I’m going to accept that. I have to own my responsibilities with his behavior; and although he’s said he forgave me, he is still not speaking to me. It’s all so confusing.

I also recommend reading "My PTSD Partner Left Me -Now What?" in the article section on this forum site. It is a quick read and informative introduction into many of the aspects that has come up on this thread. I have read it a few times and it is a great reminder to me now.

One can forgive and not reconcile or return to a relationship. For example, I had someone harm me once and I forgave them, but I didn’t put myself in a position where they could harm me like that again. I also had to take time and space to heal. It had nothing to do with PTSD symptoms.

I just wanted to put out there. Sometimes we focus on what we want them to say. When you focus on just this, you can miss the actions they could be showing. I will say I was guilty of this myself. But once I opened my eyes there use a new light.
