The barracks I was in in NewRiver (just down the road) were condemned in the 70s. 20-30 years later? Still gtg. Some of the nicer barracks I've ever stayed in, honestly. Roomy.

It sucks brother, but you have to put them together. They (Gov) are not going to make it easy. They are not about you - it's all CYA.

Just had a Agent Orange town hall meeting here in NJ a week ago. It was done by the VVA and had a lot of good information. The VA is still in denial with the scope and depth of the issue.

Agent Orange actually started the fight that caused me to quit the VA. One doctor there said I had lesions on my eyes from exposure to a dioxin. (AO has dioxin in it.) The other doctor there said it was not. Apparently he had rank or dominion over the previous doctor. I told both of them I really did not care about the cause right now. FIX my eyes. Honest to God...I was worried about not only blindness but just being able to see properly. I got nowhere. They both did not know what to do. I went civilian and got some laser treatments that I pay for (out the ass). I can at least see to drive and read now.....

Personally I have ischemic heart disease, verified twice by two cardiologists. Guess what, I was exposed to agent orange in nam and ended up getting a presumptive disability rating with the VA because of that.

I was also stationed at Camp Lejeune drinking and showering in that dirty water before nam. Now they're sayin that exposure to those chemicals at Lejeune also cause heart problems as well as a plethora of other shit. I have a son that was conceived after I came home (ha, home my ass) who also has certain disabilities as well.

I have a google alert set on Lejeune water and this one just came in the other day.

So now it looks like they're saying they want to examine presumptive.

Woodman, the VVA is running town hall meetings across the country. They are actually taking claims for Gr children and GGr kids for future consideration. I'm sure your up on it but just the same below is a link with the information.
