Oh... I wanted to add that Australia has similar campaigns run here, and have for many years now. Associations have pushed the government into action, noting other trials done in countries, other evidence, which has demonstrated lowering abuse statistics. We have forced TV ads and campaigns in schools and such, public or private, where kids must endure certain teachings on abuse. Our TV ads show how children learn such things young, then get worse into adulthood, with a message to stop it young and seek action. We then have programs and free help parents can seek for their kids who still fit abuse patterns.

We have quite low numbers of abuse in Australia, and its getting better with every decade. We're getting smarter and more educated with the use of the Internet and national campaigns against domestic violence and rape, drugs, alcohol, so forth. A packet of cigarettes here will cost you on average $30 plus dollars, because they tax them so high to make it difficult for people to smoke. Alcohol is also expensive compared to other nations -- ICE is our current huge problem -- Sugar is the next thing they're looking at taxing high due to the growing global obesity issue.

Basically, the more sugar something contains the more tax it will accumulate. The only way to get people to stop things, or minimise them, is to hit them where it hurts -- the pocket.
