I wonder what life will be like in 2020...

Well, according to The Blaze and a few other Republican (is that supposed to be capitalized?) leaning news sources, Trump has been getting national security briefings for 3 days and appears to already be leaking classified info about Iran. Sigh.

I actually thought it would take a week or two before that happened.

Whatever can be said about Clinton and classified info, Trump didn't even make it three days before he started to intentionally leak it. Geez. I'm all for honesty, but if it's classified it's not supposed to be sent through personal servers or talked about in front of rallies and crowds! Ugh.

So, could we end up with the truly bizarre situation of BOTH of the major candidates being indited for treason? (I guess not, because Clinton seems, at least right now, to have dodged that bullet.) But, the constitution wasn't written with political parties in mind.....what happens if a candidate is indited for something like treason? (I don't think there's nearly enough time to convict anyone of anything before the election.) If a President was convicted of something like leaking classified info, that surely counts as a "high crime" and we have a procedure for that. When is the ballot final? At what point is it too late for a party to have a do-over? Could we end up without a Republican candidate? Never quite thought I'd see THIS!

The Republican party generally only has rules (it's under a section called rule 9) where 168 delegates within the RNC could re-nominating someone else in the event of the nominee's "death or declination."

Treason by the nominee? Doesn't appear to be grounds to nominate someone else. However, the week prior to the RNC convention the rules committee voted in rules that allows them to change any rules between the convention and the election. (That's interesting and new this election season.) There is the possibility they could reconvene and change everything...

If they nominate someone new, then there are issues with some states in getting the new republican nominee on the ballot because of state election laws, but Supreme Court rulings indicate that the votes for the republican candidate would go to whatever person was the current nominee. So Trump could be on the ballot, and not be the nominee anymore and the votes would go to whomever was the republican nominee - at least that's the current school of thought.

If Trump gets impeached after election, then our commander in chief would be Pence.

Party politics in action. (Why do we give the parties federal funds for elections? I don't want to pay for this party mess!)

We need a dept of justice that would apply the law equally to these folks. Otherwise, they can do anything they want, and all we can do is try convince people to NOT vote for them.

The revolution within the GOP is growing. republicans senator Mark Kirk of Illinois ran commercials that said he “bucked his party to say Donald Trump is not fit to be commander-in-chief.” Mike Coffman is republican in Colorado is also running TV ads stating he will oppose Trump, and he's doing it a very close race. I haven't heard of democrats running TV ads saying they will stand up to Clinton... are they?

Speaking of 2020, Kanye West has already announced his candidacy for president in 2020, and recently explained that his good business skills will make him great being president.

One thing that really impresses me about Trump is that he does not use a teleprompter at all and goes by his notes when he speaks. He is also currant in that he is sticking to the truth and is honest.

I admire that he is banning the liberal press from his rallies. For far too long the liberal press has been so dishonest and leans left. I see the lies and it is good that there are so many honest people on online to report the common sense approach and sticking to the facts.

I'll spell it out clearly here.

Trump likes you as long as you like him.

The very instant you don't like him, he turns on you and tries to destroy you.

He loves the press that praises him, bans the press that shows him as anything but wonderful.

Kaisich and Cruz haven't endorsed him. Trump has said that he will form super PACS to ensure that the political careers of both are destroyed.

It's a game to him. He's a man with a baby ego and miserable soul.

He garners the support of people who like that he tells it like it is------but he is nasty toward women, Muslims, Mexicans, the disabled, and so on. Since he's telling it like it is, these groups MUST really be the scum of the earth in the eyes of his followers, too, right? And if not, then why are so many people tolerating this hatred?

I'm dumbfounded at the extreme level of tolerance for hatred in this country right now.
