Welcome back, no one should have to encounter such hostile working conditions but I have seen the same for many years. As an employee that excels and watches people who may collect a paycheck but mostly find excuses all day at work I am not surprised by your findings.
Companies are not what they used to be, they are getting closer and closer to imprisonment if you ask me. They abuse their workers daily, they attempt to control their workers to the point where they can not sprint off to the bathroom anymore without informing a supervisor, they lack complete understanding for the fact that humans get sick, and so on and on.
Workers are totally dehumanized in these companies. Every day I go to work for such companies I am only an inch away of charging these folks physically and go for their jugular.
