Bridges closed, icy roads and 29 degrees, the high was supposed to be 34 but, uh nope. Overnight 23 then we start climbing back to a 60 degree day. Not bad considering I've been here at -10 (most newbies here think this is awful).
Lost my lemon tree, aloe, a dwarf gardenia so far... doubtless more to come. Even the rye grass looks anemic. I will say though that this is the first time in over 33 years where ice/sleet has stuck for more than 25 minutes as this weather coincided with rain and an overnight freeze.
Our zone though is 10 to minus 10 typically so I'm not global warming theorist.
