After a heat wave in Holland where I was visiting my sister a couple of weeks ago, I came home to Scotland to much cooler climes, in fact, It feels more like November just now?

Another severe thunderstorm watch. Till 2 a.m. Looking at the radar, the southern portion of the storm may hit us quite soon, but may miss us if it moves north.

The southern part of the storm looks to be the most intense, but I'm not sure it's going to hit us. Too hard to tell by the radar as of yet.

I wish I could cite some sources, but years ago I read something about how severe thunderstorms tend to happen at the end of the workweek in the midwest because of how factory smoke affects the atmosphere. This may be bs, but I don't know. I do know that we in the midwest tend to get hit on the weekends.

Still monitoring the radar, and it looks like we may get hit. Just wish it would get over with soon, so I could get to bed.

We had some lightning, but nothing damaging that I could hear. Looks like we're in the clear now.

Dark. Again. But dry. That's a plus. Might should try being awake in the daytime more for weather I can see ;)

I woke up to the beginning of a beautiful sunrise and the low dark clouds came in surprisingly fast and it looks like it will rain today so I have the lights on and the sliding glass door open because it is warm already so I think it will be very humid today as well.

Change of plans on cleaning the house. I will clean the rooms and do the floors tomorrow.

Very cozy in here right now. I know that we need the rain.

We are having strong lightning strikes with little rain. This reminds me of the summer storms in the mountains, my husband and I would sit on the front porch and drink beer and watch the storm. i find them thrilling.We already lost our power twice now.
