It is hot here and that's the forecast for the week.

The grass in my front yard is dying. It is either the heat or since I have been in such a daze the last few months, I might have used Round-up on it instead of the Weedkiller. Anyway, it doesn't look good, and who knows if I used the wrong container. So I have gotten out the hoses and will start watering to see if it helps?!

Same here. We've had no real rain for weeks and our lawn is yellow, too. But it's not dying. It will rebound when rain comes again or you water. Personally, I don't water, too expensive, and the grass is not dying, it's just dormant. Um, unless you mistakenly put RoundUp on it. Then, yeah, you should water, just in case, though I would think it would have really died by now if you had put RoundUp on it.

Thanks @hodge for the information. Greatly appreciated because I couldn't figure out what was going on.

I am relieved to hear that the grass is probably just dormant . I usually don't water either because of the expense, but I was beginning to wonder about it. I do have to tell myself it is July and it does get hot!

I just won't compare my yard to my neighbors because there's very green, but of course they have a sprinkler system with a well.

Yeah, don't compare. Your lawn is fine and will green up whenever you get rain, which I hope is soon! And I'm sure you're not the only one waiting for rain. The vast majority of my neighbors wait for rain, too, and I live in a nice neighborhood.

Hot and humid here, too. Severe t-storm watch until 2 a.m. Yuck. We need more rain. I just pray for no tornadoes.
