34 C was sunny and hot 2 hrs ago. Just now a storm rolled in - wind, lighting, thunder, hail and a little rain. Really mostly a dry storm. Now it's a hot, grey day.

Sunday night was a cracker!! Massive tropical storm rolled on in and out and in and out etc... lol.. I sat on my back porch and watched the show for hours... I love watching nature doing her thing especially when I am safe. :) All that humidity was really worth it :)

Monday morning was so delicious, the air had that just rained smell - all those positive thingy's in the air. Then beautiful with sunny skies and about 31 C -

Today was beautiful with sunny skies and about 34 C.

Nippy! It's 46 F. Brrr! Much hot tea to be had today! :) Maybe some chili fixings going into the Crockpot as well. :)

35 C - started out quite lovely but now hot Northerly winds are gusting through. We have another massive weather front coming with loads of rain in this one... Getting phone alerts for it already.. ..sigh...

Mostly Sunny today with highs around 50 degrees for the next 5 days. That is like a little heatwave compared to what it has been.

The calm before the storm.

50 knot winds with gusts in the 70s predicted (who is going to be losing power in this forest? Oh. Right. Everyone.), and we’ve had a few squalls blow through in the past few days (torrential rains and 30 knot winds)

...but right now the air is so impossibly becalmed I keep finding myself breathing hard, just to make sure it’s still really here. It’s like there’s less air than there should be, as if it’s been sucked out to sea to feed a monster wave.

Eerie.

The lake, however, is so mirrored that it’s a deep black pool reflecting the stars.

Doubly eerie.

And not helping assuage my notion that beauty precedes tragedy.
