Current Weather

We got a lot of rain last night which froze to ice and brought down tree limbs onto the house. It scared me a bit, but fortunately no one was hurt. It's like 34 degrees but feels like 19 with the wind chill. Cold, overcast, and windy.

It has been cold and sunny all day, but now it has turned wet and windy.

Sprinkling of snow and then a white out. We've had enough, I'm pretty sure, of the snow and cold. However, winter isn't over yet, so I guess I'll just deal.

I live at the top of the Ironbridge gorge. We have 2 bridges over the river Severn. One has to be reached by a detour as a huge hole opened up across the road (probably caused by the rain). The detour road has now been closed due to flooding.

The other bridge is an old single track bridge. You can imagine the chaos with cars queueing to cross. I can't remember having had rain for so long.

We're supposed to get snow, 100% chance of it, but none has arrived yet. None the less, it is foggy.

Light snow. Freezing. Completely grey. Yucky.

It is very wet and very very windy right now.

Three inches of snow have fallen. Twelve or more inches are expected. I feel like I won the lottery yesterday. I bought rock salt (to melt the ice). It's almost impossible to find.
