No Shepard Pratt is not only for two weeks. I was there for ten days - that's what my insurance covered and was an alright time for me, however, there were women there for 2 months - even more (covered by insurance). It's also not mostly DBT. There are a lot of groups some are DBT but I only got to two of them. They have this packet on "Containment" and that's the primary focus. However, it is in many ways cognitive behavioral, except for the individual therapy which is 3 times a week. They teach you a wide range of skills for "grounding" yourself and preventing flashback, and how to come back from a flashback. So they believe to address Complex PTSD you need stabilization tools and then address the trauma slowly. I never had tools like that and they were and have been really helpful although difficult to implement regularly without support once you leave. I've always not been into CBT or DBT, but recently realized - for me - that I needed structure and tools because my emotions were so chaotic and painful and nothing else was working.
