Did Something Stupid

have known this person since I came here.

I'm not trying to put you down when I say, you joined here about four months ago. I find 'new' people (my own experience nonwithstanding at all) are much quicker to share. I have become less and less willing to share certain things with members, particularly ones who have been here one year or less, because of my experience over the years here. I would be willing to meet some people in person. With others, even seasoned members who have been here for years, I would not even want to share an auxiliary email address. As well moderated and monitored as this site is, it is the Internet, and we all need to use our very best judgement and--not infrequently--keep a grain of salt in hand. ;)

@ladee I found having PTSD can tend to lend to hyper-vigilance and sometimes self imposed isolation. So, I think it was awesome that you elected to reach out. jmho

If you want to redirect some energy towards internet caution perhaps you may enjoy our own USA, joint tasking government crime prevention on-line site for cool tips. Whew marbles in the mouth with that one! :)

After you read all the drama and scams, I am sure you might relax a little. Perhaps even retract your disparaging self-talk...for you are far from 'stupid' to quote your stuff.

Don't shut down...just use caution. Happy 4th Month!

Thank you @Recovery4Me !!!!! You put a big smile on my face. And yes will check out the link..Has it only been four months?? Feels like I have been here forever... but I do forget my newbie status and overreach... but that's ok, it's how I learn what not to do..... but not beat myself if I didn't think before acting.... I think it's called being Human...
Thank you for your kind words... you are appreciated!!

@ladee I can relate to what you are saying. It's about having a feeling in your gut and it's screaming to you. Yet, it's hard to listen to it. I've struggled with this for a long time.

I finally learned to trust and go with my gut. What helped me was when I felt angry I would use that anger to find my voice. It has been very effective.

I don't know if this helps at all. Just my experience and two cents.

Take care.

Heather

Thanks @Heather , oh I have a voice.. it's the shutting up I have problems with. And I know from experience, when I do not listen and follow my gut, something weird will happen every single time.... maybe this is just a simple wake up call for me... Pay Attention... yes, I can do that... and thanks again !!

@ladee I am glad you have a voice! That's a good thing. Moderating what comes out of one's mouth is something I think we all need to work on. I've more than on one occasion have gotten myself into a sticky situation because I spoke before I thought.

So, I'm right with you girl:D.

Hang in there. I think you are doing great.

Hugs.

Heather

Thanks @Heather !!! I appreciate you supportive words. I do tend to be very outspoken at times, but will usually give a little thought to it.... so all in all, that is not a bad thing....it's just when have the PTSD circus in town, pfbttttt, goes the thinking part.
