This breaks my heart...to see the psychological torture that individuals go through in the aftermath of sexual trauma. As if they haven't been through enough already. I feel so blessed to have had a therapist that "believed" me when I came to the realization and was able to verbally state what I'd been through - the sexual abuse as a child and rape as an adult. What a turbulent road it has been though I can't imagine what it would have been like to be forced medicated and not have a voice with that type of emotional pain :(
