I sleep with four stuffed animals.

I am 30+ years old adult male.

My stuffed animals are my friends because they witness the nightly terrors and stick around for next round.

Stuffed animals can act as gaurdians when we sleep. They keep our secrets knowing our fears and laughter never judging. They dont tell me I snore too loud or fart too often. My gaurdians.

Stuffed animals come alive when we drift into another realm.

I try to give life to my polyester cotton friends. The little cat is my pet therapy. Gabriel Bear Logan is one of my protectors. He loves everyone somehow. He even loves the demons that disturb my sleep because they let me wake up in the morning.

I am a 35 yr old female and sleep with an old worn out teddy bear and I still and have always sucked my thumb to help me feel safe and calm the fear to help me sleep. Obviously I want to stop the thumb sucking but my therapist said he will take it over huffing duster.

Only pic I have of my teddy bear. That's my service dog in training laying on him. His (the teddy bear) name is Wally because my friend when i was 19 and newly out of the cult and used to wake up screaming my lungs out (we were roommates) she went to walmart with me to buy him. We used to call walmart "Wally World" so thats why I named him Wally.

I also have a super soft body pillow.

I sleep with my stuffed dog, Chunky. He survived all the abuse and endless hours of subjected terror I was placed through, the poor thing is 11 years old and has seen better days. I cannot part with him, I held him when I cried, I held him when the pain became too much, I held him when I felt like I was going to fall apart and the world would finally end, in all those years he never left my side, to date he hasn't yet either.

My pet cat however learnt very early on that sleeping on the bed is never safe for a feline when her owner has night mares and jumps through the roof half the night, cries, or screams, she has learnt to sleep elsewhere haha.
