Hi dlross,
You are sooo right. One time I came home from taking a walk and when I got to my block I realized I hadn't been looking for cars when I crossed the streets. I was so shocked when I realized this (after all the streets had been safely crossed), that I did confine myself to the house and our fenced-in backyard until it passed after a few days and I felt more "normal." But until then, no driving and no walks, unless my husband's coming along and holding my hand.
The main thing is to be sure you stay safe when you are not quite yourself. Like not wandering further than the backyard
