Hello everyone,

I am thinking about quitting my current job and taking a remote work from home job that might be a little more slower paced. One of the reasons is I just got diagnosed with PTSD this year, although, I've had it for a while. However, whenever I was healing before I had a lot more time and a lot less stress in my day-to-day life. I was actually managing the symptoms quite well but hadn't been to therapy. Since, I have started my job and entered into a relationship my symptoms have seemingly accelerated. I am kind of on the cusp of insanity at least once a week. Then the weekends come, and I am extremely less activated.

I think it is because there is no traffic, no people at work talking about one another, no one monitoring me, no hard deadlines and people running around the office yelling. It is just calm and peaceful. Not saying managing my time working from home would be easier but I might have a little more personal time to heal.

Let me know if anyone feels working from home gives them more time to relax.

I'm trying to start my own business and I'm in shock over how much my stress level has dropped. I know I'll have business stressors in the future but I think that having more control over my life (and not living under the constant stress of having to be perfect) has really lightened my stress load. (Yes I'm working out of my home.)

Hello everyone,

I am thinking about quitting my current job and taking a remote work from ho...

Absolutely it does work, there is no doubt that being able to work from home improves PTSD symptoms. I find that whenever I work in my business from home that I am a lot happier than when working at a regular workplace. Of course in my life this is due to stalkers who still after hurting me want to interrupt my life.

But yes, being able to work from home is a gift for a person with PTSD. That is what I hope to accomplish full time eventually. It is a goal worth working for.

I get to work from home somedays, i get to focus and not having to interact with people in person helps me when i am having a tough time.
