Thank you for the prayers Hodge, it is very much appreciated. Evie is out of surgery, it didn't go quite as well as they hoped; she bled too much and needed to receive some donor blood, which is always a concern. However, she is stable now, and in the recovery room, the surgery being a success in spite of that complication. We are still waiting to go in to see her, so I am back online once again. Thank heavens for modern technology to keep my worried mind occupied!

I'm glad it's considered stable! I was hoping for an update. I hope you get to see her soon! Take care of yourself and Jim too. This is very stressful (lol as if you don't know that by now!) When Evie's awake.. remind her about the pancakes from bec.. she will get it once she isn't groggy! ;)

I remember what it's like to wait outside of the surgery recovery room for my name to be called for my child. My oldest had surgery when she was 13 months old. Keeping your mind occupied is a big help.

Sorry that the surgery didn't go as well as planned, but glad to hear that Evie's stable. Give her a hug from me.

Hey Kathy, Jim, Evie!

I hope you all got a good night's sleep and are feeling better today. I also hope that the nurses are keeping Evie's pain meds up to speed. I had surgery this summer and if it weren't for my husband and I both advocating for me, I would have been miserable. We are all cheering for you.
