General Evie's Cancer

Yes we are extremely relieved. We were considering antipsychotic medication for her prior to the surgery so this is extremely positive news.

 

[Kathy]

Evie has given me permission to share this very positive news, as she is unfortunately not too positive about it herself at the moment. However, it looks as though she has gone into remission once more! Her recent blood work and other tests show no signs of the cancer, and also show her being well enough to engage in physical activity. Evie as I say is untrusting of the results, and afraid to hope, as she went into remission briefly a few months back only to go out of remission again very shortly afterwards. However, Jim and I will be hopeful for her, we are very pleased at the news!

Thank you Claire. I suppose I should say, I am not without understanding of Evie's doubts about this latest remission. I did not mean to dismiss her feelings. She is the one dealing with the cancer and the uncertainty of it all, and I do understand it is difficult for her to feel positive when she has been let down so many times before. It wouldn't be easy for anyone, PTSD notwithstanding. However as I say Jim and I will be positive for her, until she is ready to do so herself.
