Above all else, God seems to want us to love each other.
So love your aunt, and make your decision in the light of that love. We could mull on all the fine print of the catholic institution till the next millenium and it probably still wouldn't make a lot of sense.
But that principle seems to he pretty straight forward. And by far the most important thing that God taught humanity: love each other.
Your decision, coming from love? I can't see how the man upstairs would hold that against you.
