I just thought I'd share. I have always felt emotion very physically and I've heard a lot of you talk about somatic therapy. I've never experienced that but my T just introduced me to Focusing Oriented Psychotherapy and we are going to begin using it in sessions. Apparently it is a new cutting edge therapy for healing through listening to what our body is communicating with us. I looked it up and included a link about it. It felt so good even to finally be paying attention to those feelings and giving them a voice. Usually those symptoms are what is acknowledged but then put off to the side so I'm excited about this. In my research it's supposed to be really good at working through complex trauma.
