Former Marine Corps Photographer

I'm a former Marine Corps photographer with PTSD - 70% disabled, 100% unemployable. I'm sick of not being able to work, and it dawned on me that the only time I am happy - excited - is when I have a camera in my hands. So I applied to go back to school to become a photographer to try to get off of disability and was told that if I go back to school, I have to give up my "unemployable" status and therefore will loos over a third of my income - making it impossible for me to pay rent. Catch 22. So I am applying for federal loans and grants and I'm just going to do it on my own. When I get employed and confident, I'll leave the VA system.

Are you in the US, Beverlry? My son in law did the same thing in the Marines. He was active duty during 9/11. I think he left in 2003 or 2004. I wish you the best of luck. That tenacity will go a l ong way.
