Trying to imagine having a doc who doesn't lose her bonus from my health insurance if she refers...
HA!! :whistling: hard to do....

The getting tested is a good idea, having meds checked, etc.

Can you change primary docs? Yours doesn't seem that responsive to your needs.

Good idea! That's worrisome that you were dismissed like that, a second opinion is a good idea, you can get that without changing drs, though it can be a bit touchy it is common with such an issue just to be sure all is okay.

There a number of things that can cause that problem. Beyond minor or major health concerns it can be caused by medication and anxiety. It can give you the feeling that you have to go again right after you just went.

Also check to rule out interstitial cystitis. I have had it for 3 years but it has gotten a lot better after working with a naturopath w/a nutritional detox and herbal regimen -- and it is definitely related to the trauma! So the trauma work hopefully will finish off the improvements...

No. I drink one cup of coffee a day. I have to restrict my caffeine otherwise I might as well just sleep on the toilet!!!

Last night was rough! Every 2 hours I woke up needing the toilet and it was really lots!!! Also dreamt of body parts everywhere, children and people screaming! what a night! was terrible. Hope tonight is better! I am exhausted!

I would recommend ruling out any sleep disorder like sleep apnea, and/or high blood sugar for possible diabetes. Both conditions can lead to frequent urination during the night.

Already done this. I drink very little caffeine, limit to one cup of coffee first thing in the morning, and I have low blood sugar but it isn't considered a problem. It does not happen every night. The past week I slept right through the night and got up once for the bathroom. I strangely find alcohol like a nightcap before bed helps me sleep better???

Just last night was a nightmare!! as said above....

I urinate a lot during the night as well, but I've found that something wakes me and then I figure while I'm up, I might as well go. Sometimes it's a nightmare, sometimes it's my husband snoring, and sometimes it's because I hear something (mostly the dog doing rounds), but mostly it's something other than my bladder that's waking me.

Hopefully your nightcap is still helping you.

I usually get up 2 or 3 times during the night to go. I did read that with kidney disease that night time urination is worse. And I do have kidney disease.

I'll probably be tempting fate, but the past few nights I gone through the night without needing the bathroom. It is however the first place I think about on waking
