I just got a call from the hospital today & have to take antibiotics prior to surgery for an infection detected from my hospital pre-operative appointment.... Huff!!!

I hope you can find something to distract yourself on the day, it helps if they keep you waiting around until its your turn. Wishing you a speedy recovery, just think of all the fun you can have making Anthony run around after you after surgery. I had two lots of surgery last year in a space of 12 months, and it was the first time in a long time that I got thoroughly spoilt.

Ya know, the worst part of it all is staring at those dumb blank ceiling tiles when you're lying on the gurney.

For Pete sakes, you'd think someone would have invented some nice ceiling mural that would tell a story or feature beautiful places in Australia. Heck the technology is there for giant TV screens, programable by the patient with whatever is interesting or beautiful to the patient, photos in each ceiling tile from your wedding, or trip, or home.....
