Yes,
-Extra strength Gaviscon 2-18 teaspoons/ day (2 if salt-restricted). I used first morning, before work, night +/or before bed; cut back to 2-3 times per day, 2 teaspoons each.
- No food but apple juice for blood sugar and if it's an ulcer/ exacerbated by an ulcer, or 1/2 apple juice+ 1/2 water
-soft bland food yogurt; Cream of Wheat seems to absorb acid. Bland diet in case it's pancreatitis (if pain goes through to back). Could only stand liquids the first 8 days or so.
-small bites, lots of chewing, small sips of quite cold water
-elevated head at night, I'm using 2 pillows with a folded robe in between
-Tums, up to 8/ day; use when feel it starting at work or wakes me up at night- Tums + water
-No coffee, which is easy because don't have appetite. Most relief comes not eating
-no or limited alcohol, no spicy foods unless you have reflux from too low stomach acid (you will know by how you react to introducing 1 or 2 slices of pickles, etc, and waiting for burning or feeling better). Mostly eating really simple or regret it and don't want to eat. Oh yes- baby cookies/ Arrowroot
-no citrus fruits/ juice
-no supplements
-no bending over if possible
-limited milk consumption in case
-warm bath
-pulling your posture up sitting- exaggerated lifting of shoulders; brings some relief and useful if it's complicated by a compressed thoracic disk
-no eating at night or at least stay up 3 hours after eating
-not eating or drinking anything that could produce gas: no beans or cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage), no carbonated drinks
-limited fiber in terms of little salads or veggies, in case it's intestinally induced. Raisins seem really bad. :(
-they say no chocolate ( ); similarly if it's intestinally related no nuts (pb and yogurt was fine later)
