Have you heard the term 'paralysis by analysis'?... sometimes we need to stop thinking and just do it.

I've left this for several days, to see if my response was still the same.

I think this comment was unproductive and unkind. This whole thread came about because I acted. I could have gone on waiting, maybe for another year, for the NHS to reach a decision. Instead I acted to go around them. In my conversation with the provider I expressed my doubts, but acted by asking them to go ahead and contact T3. The director of the provider organisation asked me to think about the reasons for my doubts, and I've done that, reaching a conclusion that I've recorded ready to use. The six points I've identified are things I will need to talk about with any therapist, and having them clarified should save time, when I get there.

So I'm going to decline the offer of putting blame on myself for this.
I haven't done anything wrong.

In terms of actually moving ahead, I may be one step on. As my "Care Co-ordinator" has moved on I chased the area manager. She came back to me, to say a decision to approve funding has been made, but she doesn't know what this funding is for, with whom, or for how long. She says she will be told this in writing, and will let me know when she hears. I waited another few days, chased her again and she still doesn't know and says she can't speed it up as it comes from a different office.
I've gone back to the provider to see if they got a response from T3 - no call back on their only working day this week, and for both Easter has now intervened.
