I had to move away from my stalker who was terrorizing me. I understand the fear, terror, and horror.

Can you make a log of all of the things he does to stalk you? It is proof of what he is doing to you. Add to that the letters that he is writing to you. I know this helped me. You need to put down dates and times. Unless you are already doing this.

Keep on reporting him anyway. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. They will eventually have to help you because you do not give up and go away.

My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry you are going through this. I am sorry he is so smart in his letters. I hope he slips up and makes a mistake that will help you. I know it is a hassle and a inconvenience to keep going back to court. I hope you will get a judge that sees through his lies. Big hugs.

if you report calls /texts to police they get really irritated with victim and are subject to re-victimization from officers. They treat you like you are a nuisance.

I agree Brat17. My first divorce attorney, who worked for ME, talked me out of reporting a phone call from him. She told me it would just piss off the police and make things worse.

I was able to get a domestic violence TRO today! It's just the temporary one, and I have to go back in a few weeks for the hearing to see if it's granted. But for now, or at least after my ex is served by the sheriffs.

Now I just have to hope this doesn't send him into a crazy rage and he comes after me. I'm so tired of living so that I worry about it he's upset! That is just not right.

Congrats sues. Its a big step in the right direction. I know it is harder to get usually against law enforcement officers. They are very corrupt where I live. Have had many clients hit roadblocks when ex is cop or former, its like they give a professional courtesy to one another.

Yes! I see that when I have to deal with the police. Their attitude changes when they realize who I am and that my ex is retired police. That is so wrong, but it's the way it is. I kept at it, and eventually I found an officer who actually cared. He was visibly upset that so much had happened to me and nothing had been done yet. He was awesome.
