Sure thing. Here are some major examples. When I was little, and made a new friend, I caught her illness (MRSA). After I got a new job and was doing great, I got beaten, kicked out and abandoned. Whenever I was/am happy in general, some family drama come/comes up. After I got married, my bpd showed up, our business went down the toilet, and we had to leave the country because of personal issues.

Now I am just afraid that if I have a happy living, some horrible shit will happen.

It’s called life, how you react and deal with it will better your chance of not having depression and not feeling like it’s all bad....
