Heart Melting Moments

I just re-read that because it was nice so I wanted to see it on re-play in my head again.

Last Friday the kids brought Rory, my grandson to see us. He was fussy and they were busy so they said 'would I mind...' ( holding him ) well HA! He minded some, and witched a little but I haven't had 4 cranky-pots for nothing, as babies and jollied him to sleep. His mo was worried he'd wake up if we tried to put him down, would I mind holding him while he napped? HA again! I took a pic with one hand and sent it to my lovely friend Grainne with the heading 'What I did with my Friday'. I don't know what I ever did to deserve that 2 hours of tears in my eyes-must have been somethng very, very good which I don't remember!

Laughing this afterrnoon with the hubs a friend and two teenagers,we were all rolling and near crying with laughter,its been a long time since either of us laughed like that,we couldnt stop for about five mins cause each time one of us caught our breath we'd catch sight of the others nearly wetting themselves and it set us off again,the dogs were well confused.

Sounds like me and this net friend of mine. He lives about 50 miles north of me and his sense of humour is just as wicked as mine. I have to go meet him one of these days. I've known him online about 10 years now. Should hear us get going about our Government. We are the same page with politics. So we bash them good. :laugh:

This morning we both had one of those tear in your eye moments.

My daughter always sends a video message from Santa, to our 2 grandchildren.

This year she did one for each of us too, one for granddad from our grandson, and one for me from our granddaughter.

Amethist- your post inspired me! Me and the kids are headed off to the Christmas market in about 5 minutes. I am hopeful that the weather will be kind to us- snow, ok, but no hail like there was yesterday in Hessen. Stress- I am putting you away for today, you will be there when I return.

Wow, what a great site and wonderful idea!! :) I'm using it this year, thank you for the wonderful idea. My sweet Daughter IL sends me videos per phone of my younger GrandBoy which just melt my heart and the other morning I woke to the sounds of "how does a bear sound? Grrrahhhhhhhh!!! And a turkey? gooooobbbleee bubb goooobbbl..." at 9months old he is a character, Mr Up-All-Night!

I remember when my eldest was little and we had taken hime to a local stately home (Tatton Park). There was a big playground there and we stayed till it was dark.

When we got home he got out of the car, looked at the sky, and with the wisdom of the ancients said:
'Look mummy, the moon has followed us from Tatton Park.'

I cracked up! I will always remember that sweet innocence. He's 21 now so I doubt I'll hear words like that for a long time!
