25 year old female.. Moved down here a year ago.. Trusted someone I shouldn't have.. Got out of that situation... He's been stalking me and tried to kill me for almost a year now. .. Prior to this.. I was abused by my mother since I was 2 months old .. Thrown threw a glass window, until about 4 years ago.. Choked with belts, drank cigarette butt water, beaten with a studded belt all over my body.. It haunts me. I trust no one, if.. You wanna give me a chance. or anyone needs to talk.. please message me back.

Oh my gosh! I will help you!

That is truly horrible. But, you will get through this. This is the part where everything you have been through is going to hurt the most because you have gone through one of the first steps. To open up and ask for help. This part is probably going to be one of the hardest parts of your path! But trust me when I say this. You are never alone. This site is going to give you the most amazing things in you recovery!

If you EVER need someone to just listen to you or you need help. You can always email me!

Just remember that this is going to be the (hopefully) the worst part. But once you start facing it on head first. Then cry and get up and do it again. Everything will fall into place.

I am so sorry for what you went through, silverstarshine. Nobody deserves what happened to you. It really angers me that a parent can treat their innocent child so terribly.

I really hope you'll find the support you need and deserve. There are many amazing people here. Welcome!

Hi Silverstarshine,

Welcome to the forum!

As you read, you will find that many members who were abused as children find themselves in abusive relationships. You have made a great step in making life better for yourself by joining this site. I would also encourage you to seek counseling as a good therapist can help you find the path to reclaiming your own life.

Wishing you the best.

Debbie

Congratulations on taking the hardest step, which is to come ask for help. There is a book called "Mothers who can't Love, A Healing Guide for daughters" by Susan Forward and Donna Glynn that you might find helpful. It helped me understand some of the feelings that my ex had toward her mother much better even though she never could talk about it except in general terms. It's available on Amazon and maybe the library?
