Hi all!

finney for godmom.webp

I'm Finn(egan) and I am a supporter.

I was born on 20 February 2013 as one of many siblings.

That's me, right there! No, no no, no... ummmm, no, a bit further to the-- There you go! That's me! :)

I moved in with my sufferer on 1 April. I found a lovely home, a wooden cage with a huge Wodent Wheel, my flaring red futon and lots of places to hide in waiting for me.

I've also already had what I guess could be considered a traumatic experience, when my sufferer rearranged my cage and put masses of wood shavings into it the other day! Granted, she was meaning well, for me to be able to do a lot of building tunnels underground and become a happy hamster, but seriously, that was a bit of a shock and I can now relate to your whole world being turned upside down while you're still in it! Sheesh! I'm okay though, no worries.

My sufferer has not shown any signs of getting ready to rearrange some more, so I've started to put some trust in her again. Today, I even got a hamster cookie and I took it right out of her hand. Guys and gals, I'm telling you, her hands sometimes reek, ugh! She told me it was soap -- whatever that soap stuff is, it's disgusting, to say the least. Told her to support me a bit by using wood shavings to "wash" her hands in before she approaches me. Much better!

Well, I've been here a week now and I have the feeling some adventures are waiting for me out there! My sufferer told me that I could run around on a huge playground some day if I learn to come onto her hand by my own choice (not without a nut or two waiting there for me, of course). I'm dreaming of that already!

She also told me today that I'm going to get a new house for inside my cage! It actually has seperate rooms so I can use one as my bedroom, one as my bathroom (toilet, that is; I have a huge sand bath in my cage) and one as my kitchen! I am looking forward to that, but for some reason I wonder: Will she do it again? Rearrange my cage? Being a supporter certainly isn't the easiest of things, but I am loved, I know that already. And I get lots of salad, carrots, zucchini, a bit of a grape here and there, and I think I have begun to like her voice talking to me! :)

Sorry for the long introduction! Good to meet you all though!

Keep well, and don't forget to put yourselves first once in a while! I'm doing that right now -- off to bed for another nap!

Finn

P. S. I also have a godmother here on the forum! Her name is Nighthawlk. :inlove:

Finn, Welcome to the Forum! So nice of you to be supportive. Please be patient with your sufferer, a lot of us are learning and re-learning.

It is very safe here and you are not alone. There is a section for supporters to discuss things such as soap.

I hope to see a lot of you around. Can I pinch your cheeks? You are adorable! Hugs if you accept them, Whitney

Whitney, nice to meet you. Thank you for the warm welcome. :)

Please be patient with your sufferer, a lot of us are learning and re-learning.

Yes, I do understand. I am learning, too. Totally new to this!

There is a section for supporters to discuss things such as soap.

Oh, that is good to know. Thanks! I think I'll run over there some time and start a thread on it. Soap! Of all things! :wtf:

Can I pinch your cheeks? You are adorable! Hugs if you accept them, Whitney

Of course you can pinch my cheeks! Please make sure I haven't just stuffed anything into them though! I would hate to have a huge piece of carrot stuffed down my throat unintentionally. I'm used to sucking them in like a vacuumer; no experience yet with them going down fast! :locktopic:

Hugs always welcome -- just tender, little ones, please, teeeeeeender!

how great of you to introduce us to your supporter

[Prime-no replying] Don't look at me, Froggie! I've only been hitting the keys, but Finney's been telling me what to write! It's just that he didn't dare sign up on the forum himself because Anthony would have banned him as it would have looked like a second user account of the same user, because, naturally, Finney doesn't have his own computer. Well, not yet. :D

you will both live many great adventures and you have chosen a super great godmother

It's me again, Finn. Nice to meet you, Froggie. :) This whole thing has been one great adventure, and guess what: She did it again! Mess up my cage! But yea, I may be able to forgive her, after all, she's the one with the goodies, and she's the one who chose Nighthawlk, as you say. So, I trust, she does mean well.

Thanks for your well wishes. Sending you a tiny little hug. So sorry, my hands are so small and my arms aren't too long either. Lots of love anyway!

I shall do the best I can!

Dear Adorable Finn, This is all any of us look forward too! We are a pretty neat bunch and if you need
help, just ask; as that is what friends do. I am sorry she messed with your wood chip, she replaces it at least.

Others are not so fortunate and get dirty shredded newspaper. Which would require much soap to remove from
your beautiful fur. Itty bitty teeny weeney hugs, Whitney

Thanks munch (hehe), new friend! :)

I am increasingly aware of how happy I can consider myself. Once I was done exploring my "new" home, I was back to loving her, sitting in my Wodent Wheel and waiting for her to come and give me a goodie. I love exploring!

She's an excellent cleaning service as well! After about a week, I will just throw all my not-so-very-clean linen, pillows and blankets outside of my bedroom and before I get around to complaining what all that mess is, it's already gone! She also makes my bed and all and leaves some more blankets for me to take away when I need them. (You should have seen her eyes pop out of her head this morning (her morning, not mine)! During my night I had taken all that stuff away to make myself a wonderful new bed in my new two-bedroom house! Spring has set in though, so no worries about me! I'm very happy! And may even be falling in love!

Oh, and I love your hugs! Thank you! :inlove:

--- BLOG ---

Hey folks,

I got creative last night (your night, my day). Wrote some lyrics. Played some muuuuuuuuuusic. Smoked some pot, yo! Ah, just kidding… Not about the lyrics though. Enjoy! Oh, and please do sing them out loud – I’m sure you all know the original song “Oops, I Did It Again” by Britney Spears.

"Shoot, She Did It Again"
by Finnegan

[Music starts in the background]

I think she did it again!
Cleaned out my whole cage!
Rearranged everything!
Oh baby… *sigh*
It might seem a nice deed,
But that doesn't mean my heart doesn’t blee-eeeeeeeed!
'Cause I am a supporter
And this sh*t really hurts me!
Oh baby, baby… *sigh*

[CHORUS:]
Shoot! She did it again!
She played with my things, took my goodies away!
Oh baby, baby… *sigh*
Poops! I think she's all nuts!
But a hamster I a-a-a-am
And nuts are aaaaawe-some!

You see my problem is this:
I need lots of rest,
I sleep and I snore so I miss everything!
And then, during the night,
She weasels about and I don’t wake up!
So, to loooose all my sensesss,
Stuff like this is all that it takes!
Baby, oh… *sigh*

[CHORUS:]
Shoot! She did it again!
She played with my things, took my goodies away!
Oh baby, baby… *sigh*
Poops! I think she's all nuts!
But a hamster I a-a-a-am
And nuts are aaaaawe-some!

Ugh! She -- did it again to my heart!
Will this -- not ever end, baby… *sigh*
Shoot! Now, -- she is the one with the goo-oo-oodies,
So, I will shut up now, yeah!

Hi Finn, I had a lot of hamsters when I was a kid and they were all supporters for me, since I was traumatized from a very young age on. My sister had one that had 11 babies, so cute! We kept two of them. Lots of happy memories and I'm sure you and Prime-No will have plenty of them too. Welcome to the Forum.
