Anthony,

Looks like OMPI has been acquired by someone. Could you give me what ever is appropriate and remove it?

Done. Paid out at $24 per share which was the agreed merger price.

I don't suppose there would ever be a way for the game to see closed stocks and get rid of them for you? It sounds like a hard reach to me but it never hurts to ask...

Something like the game would record the previous close Then on seeing that the stock is no longer available, sell it at the previous close amount.

I'm a programmer, so I know that if I had written the game, I could do it. but I didn't write the game...

What you are having to do seems like more work than is worth it...

The problem though, is that Nasdaq or such don't publish and push the final share price, they just shut it down and delete. That is the issue...

I agree that what you're saying is easily done, but it isn't the software more than it is the stock exchanges not giving that data. The game can close or delete the stock... but then what should the buyer of the stock get returned??? The last pushed figure could be a drop, or like most buyouts, the stock is locked at the exchange, thus never seeing the final purchase price... otherwise investors would inflate the prices.

We could say that it is the buyer's responsibility to get out before it closes. Then just to be a little fairer, they get sold out at their buying price. The only case where that would fail is in a bankruptcy... But I think that is even rarer. Not something that I think it would be reasonable to take advantage of.

If you own shares in the company, you don't pull-out prior to it being bought out... so I don't think the same should apply here. You get the often higher price. When a company collapses and you still have shares, then you lose / get the lower price if purchased under liquidation or such terms.

I know, but in the game, could it easily determine which happened. I'm just thinking that collapse is much less likely to happen in a relevant period of time. Just thinking in possible game mechanics.

Just a different thought... Colapses tend to happen over an extended period of time. Also prices tend to fall rapidly. We already have a "no buy" below 2 dollars. How about a forced sell below 1 dollar. I think that might eliminate foreclosures. What do you think?

Sorry Anthony,

KSWS just finished their buy out. Could you clean it out for me. I've got to stop buying these.
