Hey everyone,
I can't handle university and a regular side job at the moment. So I was looking for something else where I could get a couple of extra bucks. I found a nice old lady who wanted help with her computer and because I worked as a programmer for a few years I thought that would be something I could do. I went to her place every thing went well and she paid the money we previously discussed. But then she started calling me for help every once in a while and I was ok with it first but now she's calling me daily often twice or more asking how to shut down her computer, how to save a document, how to do this or that. When she can't do it she asks if I can come over. She lives really close so often go there shut her computer down and go home again. It's like 15 minutes.
One problem is that I know she actually has money and I don't want to do it for free but she doesn't pay when we see each other the next time or when I just come over to save a document for her or whatever and I don't say anything about it.
The other problem is that hearing my phone ring make my stress levels go through the roof right now so I don't want her to call as often as she does.
I don't think she can get someone else to do it for the money she's paying least of all from someone who worked in the IT business and knows anything she needs. It's roughly minimum wage. I felt bad for taking more and don't want to be grabby.
I'm not good at asking for money and rather don't say anything. I like her and can handle going there and she told me she liked it as well.
So, how can I tell her I want to get paid when she calls as often as she does and wants me to come over to do those tasks for her without to offend her?
